Just for style, instead of "enlivening" I might prefer "invigorating", and while I'm at it, rather than the somewhat redundant " malice and malicious joy" I'd prefer "evil and malicious joy". Btw, I'm sure you noticed the resemblance of "skadefro" to "Schadenfreude".
