In "uhyggelige gård", for "uhyggelige" I'm getting synonyms like grisly, ghastly, grim, creepy, which is similar to eerie. I think "grim" conveys the feeling best. Furthermore, I would use the demonstrative pronoun "that" - "...there will be a couple more strange people on that grim farm."
