I would like to suggest: "What are you doing inside the ferry house?" "How are you doing..." makes me think right away of the English greeting. Literally translated it would be something like "How do you find yourself inside the ferry house?" You could also say "How is it that you find yourself inside the ferry house?" But I prefer the more blunt "What are you doing inside the ferry house?"
