Ya sé. En donde yo vivo, pingo es un buen caballo, pero hay otro significado que es el usado aquí: se refiere a que las hijas llevaban ropa que no era de primera calidad (o de lujo) pero parecían serlo, o sea que iban bien arregladas sin gastar mucho. No sé cómo puede darse una idea de eso.
