by anitafunny 2 weeks, 6 days agoOh, that changes the meaning of the sentence, knowing that it's an idiom - maybe better would be to change the end part: ... "That's quite possible," replied Herzog thoughtfully, "but I'll still have pay the piper." ... Or "face the music", or "endure his rath".
by DrWho 2 weeks, 6 days agoIn unserer Kultur bedeutet das... er muss erneut die Schuld auf sich nehmen... er muss sich erneut den Konsequenzen stellen... he has to take the fall again... he has to face the music again... another idiom... das ist damit gemeint, glaube ich😘
