'didn't have time' seems to correspond but wouldn't "wasted no time in buying" be more logical ?
faltar tiempo (a alguien) para+infinitivo: expresión que se usa en sentido irónico, para decir que alguien ha hecho lo expresado por el infinitivo de inmediato, sin perder un segundo –a menudo algo que el hablante considera censurable.
