almacén, el sólido crédito y la respetabilísima firma de D. Baldomero I,
y continuando las tradiciones de la casa por espacio de veinte años más,
retirose de los negocios con un capital sano y limpio de quince millones
de reales, después de traspasar la casa a dos muchachos que servían en
ella, el uno pariente suyo y el otro de su mujer.

Don Baldomero II, as he must be called to distinguish him from the founder, inherited in 1848 the copious warehouse, the solid credit, and the most respectable firm of Don Baldomero I. He continued the house’s traditions for twenty more years. After transferring the house to two boys who served there—one his relative, the other his wife’s—he retired from business with a healthy and clean capital of fifteen million reales.
