Psyllium refers to the seeds of the plant Plantago ovata, a species of plantain, while glandular plantain refers to the plant Plantago afra, also called black psyllium or sand plantain.

<<beer is still used on hair I am told....for rinsing....!>> It is not used as a rinse but during rinsing, because beer hardens the hair and so, when it dries, it takes on the shape it is given. But that was used a loooong time ago...
<<forget the glandular plantain, it is called psyllium>> Well, wiki is uninformed.
