Mark, 'daß Sie gespannt sind," ist eine Redewendung, die man hier in Deutschland häufig benutzt. Es bedeutet eher, dass man neugierig ist and eager to know the outcome of something.
Vorschlag: "I quite understand that you're very curious," continued the detective, "but you won't know anything until tonight."
