Vorschlag Ingrid (and Lollo) 'advanced well into the fifties' would be the normal expression.

Ingrid. man sagt "advanced age" ...für vorgerücktes Alter..siehe dict.cc Ob man das verwenden kann: So: ...advanced high into the fifties??
